Vernissage and exhibition at the Haus der Universität, Düsseldorf

Based on this work, “An Infinitely Dark Legacy" allows a photographic journey through the early and contradictory history of modern space travel in the fascist German Reich (V2 program) and in its technological reincarnation, the NASA's Apollo program. The additional photographs of forgotten places highlight that the fascist roots of modern space exploration - especially in context of the current renaissance space exploration via the private space industry - tend to be obscured and invisible.

The exhibition was co-curated with American studies students as part of a collaborative seminar between Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the Université Toulouse, co-conducted by Jens Temmen (HHU) and Claire Cazajous-Augé (Toulouse). The exhibition will open with a vernissage on April 25, 2025, which will include a round table discussion with Lewis Bush, Jens Temmen and Maxine Broich (moderator:

Laura Cwalina). In addition, the exhibition is also the House of the University's contribution to the Night of Museums Düsseldorf on April 26, 2025 and will be on display until June 2, 2025.
